BidSnap - Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 27, 2026

Introduction

Welcome to BidSnap. We respect your privacy and are committed to transparency about how the app handles your data. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

Data Storage

BidSnap stores all business data (customers, estimates, jobs, invoices, service templates, and business profile information) locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. When iCloud sync is enabled, this data syncs between your Apple devices via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. We do not operate our own servers for storing your business data.

Information We Do Not Collect

BidSnap does not collect, transmit, or store any personally identifiable information on our servers. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks. We do not have access to your customer data, financial information, or business records.

Booking Form Service

BidSnap offers an optional online booking form feature that allows your customers to request quotes through a web page. Submissions are temporarily stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure (via Cloudflare Workers KV) and are delivered to your device when the app polls for new bookings. Booking data is automatically deleted after 30 days. We do not use booking submissions for any purpose other than delivering them to your app.

Payment Information

Payment method handles you enter (Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal usernames, or custom payment links) are stored locally on your device and included in invoice messages you send to customers. BidSnap does not process payments directly. If you connect a Stripe account, your Stripe API key is stored locally on your device. We never have access to your Stripe credentials, and no payment card information passes through our systems.

Camera and Photo Library Access

BidSnap requests camera access to capture before and after photos of job sites. Photos are compressed and stored locally within the app's data container. Photo library access is requested for selecting existing photos to attach to jobs and estimates. Photos are never uploaded to our servers or shared with third parties.

Contacts Access

BidSnap optionally requests access to your device contacts for the purpose of importing customer information (name, phone, email, address). Contact data is copied into the app's local database and is not transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Location Services

BidSnap uses location services for MapKit address autocomplete when adding customer addresses. Location data is processed by Apple's MapKit framework. We do not collect, store, or transmit your location data.

Third-Party Services

BidSnap integrates with the following third-party services at your discretion:

Children's Privacy

BidSnap is a business tool designed for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

BidSnap is designed so that your business data stays on your device and your Apple iCloud account. The app uses Apple's sandboxing and data protection frameworks to secure your data. Network communications with third-party services use HTTPS encryption.

Data Deletion

You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the BidSnap app from your device. If iCloud sync is enabled, you can also remove data from iCloud via your device's Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage.

Changes to This Policy

If we modify our data practices in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and note the new effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
