TankLab - Terms of Use

Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using TankLab ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
Description of Service
TankLab is an aquarium management application for iOS that helps users track water parameters, manage livestock, schedule maintenance, scan test strips, and receive AI-powered aquarium advice. The App is designed as a tool to assist with aquarium care and is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice.
Subscriptions
TankLab offers optional auto-renewable subscription plans ("TankLab+") that unlock additional features including unlimited AI questions, test strip scanning, iCloud sync, and expanded limits. The following subscription options are available:
- TankLab+ Monthly, Billed monthly at the current price displayed in the App.
- TankLab+ Annual, Billed annually at the current price displayed in the App.
All subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
Prices are subject to change. Any price change will take effect in the billing period following notice. Your continued use of the subscription after the price change takes effect constitutes your agreement to pay the new price.
Free Tier
TankLab provides a free tier with limited functionality, including 1 tank, 5 AI questions per month, and core tracking features. No subscription is required to use the free tier.
AI Features & Disclaimer
TankLab uses OpenAI's API to provide AI-powered features including the AI assistant and test strip scanner. AI-generated advice is for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional veterinary or scientific advice. SquatchCraft LLC is not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated content. Always verify critical information with qualified professionals.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into the App. You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as permitted by applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, and documentation, is the intellectual property of SquatchCraft LLC. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. SquatchCraft LLC does not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content, test strip readings, or water parameter analysis.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SquatchCraft LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of aquatic life, or damage to equipment.
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how the App handles your data.
Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Use or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
