QuantumBob - Privacy Policy

Introduction
Welcome to QuantumBob. We respect your privacy and are committed to transparency in our data practices. This policy explains how the app handles data, including what information is accessed and how it is used.
No Collection of Personal Data
QuantumBob does not request, capture, or store any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or account credentials). We do not record usage data, location data, or device identifiers. No third-party analytics or tracking frameworks are used.
Game Center
QuantumBob optionally integrates with Apple Game Center for leaderboards. Game Center authentication and data handling are managed entirely by Apple. We do not access, store, or transmit your Game Center account information beyond what Apple provides through the standard GameKit framework. Your Game Center display name may be shown within the app for personalization. You can use the app without signing into Game Center.
Data Downloaded by the App
The app downloads the following types of data from external sources to provide its features. In all cases, the app only receives data. It does not send any personal or user-generated data to these sources:
- Quantum Measurement Data: Pre-recorded quantum measurement results are downloaded from our GitHub Pages data server (squatchcraft.com). This data consists solely of measurement outcomes (0s and 1s) from IBM quantum processor experiments. No personal data is included in these requests. Downloaded data is cached locally on your device.
- Season Manifest: A catalog of available quantum data seasons is fetched to determine which data sets are available for gameplay. This contains only metadata about the quantum experiments (backend name, trial counts, accuracy metrics).
On-Device Processing
All gameplay logic, score calculations, statistical analysis, and Alice's prediction strategy run entirely on your device. No gameplay data is transmitted to any server. High scores and game history are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage.
On-Device Analytics
QuantumBob uses Apple's OSLog framework to record anonymous gameplay events (such as rounds played and features accessed) for debugging purposes only. These logs remain on your device and are never transmitted to any server. They are not accessible to us or any third party.
No Data Sharing
QuantumBob does not share any data with third parties. The app does not contain advertising, third-party analytics SDKs, or tracking frameworks. No user data is sold, shared, or transferred to any third party for any purpose.
Children's Privacy
Since we do not collect any personal data, QuantumBob is suitable for users of all ages. The app contains no advertising, in-app purchases, or data collection. Parental or guardian supervision is recommended for younger users.
Data Security
The app is designed so that no user data is stored on or transmitted to remote servers, minimizing the risk of data breaches or unauthorized access. All game data remains on your device.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever modify our practices (for example, by adding optional features that involve data collection), we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly and notify users within the app.
